Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) successfully conducted three-weeks workshop on Fundamentals of Jewellery Manufacturing at PIFD’s Skardu Campus, with the aim of empowering the local community. The workshops engaged students from diverse backgrounds including gems, minerals, mining industry and university students looking to acquire new skills and women who are passionate about jewellery making. The workshop concluded with Certificate Distribution Ceremony. The ceremony was graced by Professor Hina Tayyaba Khalil, Vice Chancellor of PIFD and Mr. Raja Nasir, Minister of Planning and Development, Gilgit-Baltistan. The Vice Chancellor and Minister were impressed by exceptional works produced by the participants and appreciated their creativity and potential. The workshop demonstrated PIFD’s commitment to promoting community development and providing quality education and skill development in the region.
