The Textile Design Department has organized a three-day workshop on "Technical Training of
Industrial Sewing Machine Automation" for the technicians and faculty from 23rd to 25th
January 2024 at PIFD.
In collaboration with A.W Enterprises and Almurtaza Machinery, Mr. Nilantha Suwada
Hennedige, Technical Head of JUKI Japan in Sri Lanka, conducted a Technical Training
Workshop on various Automated Industrial Sewing Machines, including Lock Stitch Machines
with Digital Feed Control, Flat Bed Coverstitch Machines with High Speed, Computer-
controlled Bartacking Machines, and Overlock/Safety Stitch Machines with Direct Drive.
