PIFD organizes Kashmir Solidarity Walk

Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) Lahore organized a Kashmir Solidarity Walk to exhibit unity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). PIFD management, faculty and students along with the general public participated in the walk.
Addressing the walk participants, Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Registrar PIFD said that the people of Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brethren and extend all possible support until they get their legitimate right to self-determination.
It is pertinent to mention here that like every year PIFD arranged various activities on the eve of Kashmir Day to highlight the cause of Kashmir and show solidarity with its people.
This year, in addition to the solidarity walk, PIFD has also organized an essay writing competition as well as a speech competition on February 06, 2023. PIFD students from different departments enthusiastically participated in the competition. The jury comprised the senior faculty members.
Prof. Hina Tayyaba Khalil, Vice Chancellor, PIFD was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. The Vice Chancellor distributed certificates among the participants. Cash Prizes of Rs.5000, Rs.3000 and Rs.2000 have also been awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions holders of both the competitions, respectively.
While appreciating the participants, Prof. Hina said that the students have highlighted the miseries of the people of IIOJ&K in an excellent way and every Pakistani stood firm with them until they get their right to self-determination.
