Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) organized an exhibition titled ‘Redivivus Contemporary Sustainable Art Exhibition’ on January 11, 2023. Prof. Hina Tayyaba Khalil, Vice Chancellor PIFD inaugurated the exhibition.
The activity was aimed at enabling youth of the country to spearhead sustainable development and green growth in the country. Students of PIFD displayed their creative work on two thematic categories Agriculture and Forestry and Solid and Liquid Waste Management. The participants have shown immense interest in exhibiting their art skills related to upcycling, recycling and sustainability.
Redivivus Contemporary Sustainable Art Exhibition specifically took place with respect to the Green Youth Movement, which is an initiative of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and being executed by the Higher Education Commission. One of the key objectives of the programme is to sensitize and organize youth for the promotion of environmental conservation and eco-friendly behavior among the masses.
To appreciate the excellent creative work of the participants, plants were presented to each of them as a souvenir under their activity within GYM Club ‘Adopt a Plant’.
