The Jewelry Design and Gemological Sciences degree programme equips students with fundamental tools, knowledge and expertise to bring innovation and experimentation in the field. The department seeks to inculcate a critical and creative understanding of Jewelry within contemporary and traditional parameters. Ideas are developed through personal investigation and external collaboration supported by erudite teaching methodology. Students work with traditional skills and contemporary technologies in state of the art workshops.
Gems and Jewelry department ensures rigorous training of the multifarious areas of the field of gems and gemological sciences. Courses in the Gems and Jewelry design department have been designed to help students explore and design with innovation. Students develop key skills in investigation, recording and exploration within art, design and media, and get the chance to focus on their chosen specialist practice in the gemological sciences by exploring them in greater depth.
