The Fashion Design programme endeavors to create a new generation of creative and highly skilled designers and entrepreneurs who are able to understand the demands of the local and international markets.The programme focuses on developing skills, progress of individual creativity, learning about trends & forecast and exploring new methods & techniques of creating fashion design.
The courses are combination of both theoretical and practical knowledge and, the focus is on research & experimentation to design and create garments.
Students selected on the basis of CGPA merit attend a two-week training programme in international institute / university, where they are engaged in intensive training of Fashion Design and Draping project and certificates are awarded after successful completion of training. Students are also encouraged to participate in national / international competitions and exhibitions. 4-6 Weeks Internship is compulsory before promotion to Semester VII, where students are placed with designers and the industry to gain work experience.
At School of Fashion Design, we recognise the importance of work, experience and job placement as a key for shaping the future career of students. Graduates can pursue their careers as designers working for their own brands and even for other design houses/industries. Moreover they can work or serve as teachers nationally and internationally or pursue for further higher studies.
